Chuck Williams
FA, ChFC®

Chuck was born and raised in Winchester, Virginia and learned at an early age the meaning of hard work and financial
responsibility. He worked summers as a young man in a factory in Winchester to help pay for his college tuition and
worked every weekend either mowing or delivering pizzas to make sure that he was able to complete his education.
His father was an Auditor for the State of Virginia, so Chuck was always cognizant of the responsibility placed on
character and the care of money.
In college, he majored in Psychology, but he also pursued a strong concentration in business because of the influences of his conservative Business and Economics professors at James Madison University like Dr. Russell Warren and Dr. Bill Wood. Chuck especially enjoyed their classes and learning how our financial planning decisions individually, corporately, and federally will impact the economy and the world.
Chuck was eager to pursue his career in financial planning because he realized there was a need in the market place for high quality independent comprehensive financial solutions. He has earned numerous financial distinctions and educational milestones in order to give his clients the professional advice and attention that they need and deserve. Chuck and the team at Jeff Harris and Associates, Inc. are proud to provide high quality independent investment and planning advice along with exceptional service.
Today, Chuck serves as a Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC®) by providing comprehensive investment and planning services to successful families and individuals. Clients who engage in a comprehensive wealth management approach are guided through a six step process which includes:
1) Identify all your unique goals and select the importance of each
2) Identify the resources that will help fund your goals
3) Determine the balance of Risk and Return that is right for you
4) Create your personal Retirement Lifestyle Plan
5) Review and discuss your Plan results
6) Implement your Action Items
His practice limits the number of clients to ensure a quality experience and lifelong relationships. Prospective clients are encouraged to take advantage of the firm’s “second opinion” service. This offering allows prospective clients to get a real snap shot of their current investments and plans with a written action plan.
In addition to Chuck’s work in the Financial World, Chuck has also been designated in Choice Theory and Reality Therapy. His certification from the William Glasser Institute allows Chuck the opportunity to help the people he knows gain more effective control of their lives.
The Ten Axioms of Choice Theory

-
The only person whose behavior we can control is our own.
-
All we can give another person is information.
-
All long-lasting psychological problems are relationship problems.
-
The problem relationship is always part of our present life.
-
What happened in the past has everything to do with what we are today, but we can only satisfy our basic needs right now and plan to continue satisfying them in the future.
-
We can only satisfy our needs by satisfying the pictures in our Quality World.
-
All we do is behave.
-
All behavior is Total Behavior and is made up of four components: acting, thinking, feeling and physiology.
-
All Total Behavior is chosen, but we only have direct control over the acting and thinking components. We can only control our feeling and physiology indirectly through how we choose to act and think.
-
All Total Behavior is designated by verbs and named by the part that is the most recognizable.
In addition to completing his Advanced Intensive Training in RT/CT, Chuck has also completed the corresponding certification in the same genre from the Academy of Choice and has completed the course of study for Choice Coaching. It is a sixty hour Board Certified Coaching Program.
Chuck has been married to his wife Cindy for over 30 years and together they have made a wonderful partnership both in life and in business. Mr. Williams' mother, Ruby, lives with them in Bridgewater, and they have two grown sons, Brandon and Ryan. Brandon is married to his wife Brittany and share a son named Nash. Ryan is married to his wife Abby. They have four sons, Levi, Landon, Zane and Zander (Twins).
Although it feels bitter sweet, Chuck & Cindy are excited for the next phase of their lives together as “empty nesters.” Together they enjoy their Church family, traveling and meeting new people as they believe that we are stronger as a community than as individuals. Chuck also enjoys reading, exercising, golfing, traveling, and helping others achieve their goals both personally and financially.
